Incheon startups make a splash at VivaTech 2025


Five Incheon startups participated in Viva Technology Expo 2025, held in Paris from June 11 to 14, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of Korean startups into the European market.


Through the "Boost Startup Program," the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) and Incheon Technopark (ITP) supported the five participating startups by providing booth support, local networking opportunities with institutions and businesses, and investment promotion activities, significantly enhancing their potential to enter the global market.

During the expo, the Incheon Startup booth, located in the K-Startup Pavilion , attracted approximately 1,000 business representatives and investors from around the world.

 Approximately 350 business meetings were held on-site, resulting in four distribution contracts and memoranda of understanding (MoUs).


Company strengths:

  • TheDay1Lab , which develops biodegradable plastics from natural polymers such as starch, plans to hold follow-up meetings with the Austrian Embassy, ​​Italian investment firm Inward Investment, and German accelerator Betahaus. The company also presented its technology to the BNP Paribas banking group.

  • IDCITI , which is developing an indoor uGPS system capable of generating satellite signals identical to real GPS, has entered into discussions with major entities in France, including SNCF, RATP, Bouygues Construction and CONSTELLIA CAPITAL, with a view to entering the European market. Technical meetings have also been scheduled with Bosch and Mitsubishi Electric.

  • Woorikidsplus , the inventor of the plastic-free eco-friendly solution "Celluble," has signed a contract with distributors connected to luxury department stores such as Galeries Lafayette, Le Bon Marché, as well as a network of approximately 8,000 pharmacies across France. The company has also expanded its presence in Europe by entering into discussions with two global beauty giants.

  • WeDrive , an integrated mobility management solution for ESG, has met with major global automakers, including Renault and Michelin, to explore entering the European ESG market. Follow-up meetings are also planned with investment firm Korelya Capital.

  • Futuresense , which offers a blockchain-based SaaS platform for food traceability and inventory/loss management, has signed MoUs with Guillotine, a French luxury vodka brand, as well as a DNA-based authentication company. Cooperation discussions have also begun with Hitachi's US office, and follow-up meetings are planned with global dairy giant Danone in Europe
